Tanjiro Is a Login Gift, Nezuko Is a Pet
The interesting wrinkle in this collab is how the two Kamado siblings are being handed out. According to Netmarble's press release on PR TIMES, the Japanese press-release distribution site, Tanjiro Kamado is the event's first-day login reward, not a gacha pull. Players who log in on day one get him outright, and the release says he can be raised all the way to Awakening (the game's top upgrade tier) just by playing.
Nezuko Kamado takes a different form. She arrives as a Legendary Pet, the game's companion slot rather than a playable hero, and is also earned through regular play during the event window.
Everyone who signs up on the newly opened collab pre-registration page gets 10 Demon Slayer summon tickets on top of that. Netmarble says the full character lineup, event details and reward list will roll out through the game's official site and X account ahead of launch. The English-language version of the collab page already teases "all four collaboration heroes" as obtainable through play, so Tanjiro and Nezuko look like the first two of a larger cast.
Demon Slayer Is the Game's Second Anime Crossover
Seven Knights Re:BIRTH is Netmarble's official remake of Seven Knights, the 2014 mobile RPG that racked up 100 million downloads worldwide. The remake, developed by Netmarble Nexus, launched on September 18, 2025, and keeps the original's turn-based battle system and its story of Evan's expedition party. It is free-to-play with in-app purchases on iOS and Android, plus PC through the Netmarble Launcher.
This is not the first time the game has borrowed an anime cast. Its first crossover, with Solo Leveling, ran from March 19 to April 2, 2026, and added Sung Jinwoo, Cha Hae-in, Yoo Jinho and Lee Joohee as heroes alongside the pet Igris. The Demon Slayer event follows the same template, with a pet slot filled by Nezuko and a hero roster built from the anime.
The press release also lists the housekeeping that came before this announcement. A September 3 update cut the number of stages in Adventure, Enhancement Dungeon and Raid, and split ruby farming into its own stage. On September 17 the game marks its 500th day of service with a milestone event and an Awakening for the hero Eileen.
The Demon Slayer Side of the Deal
The release credits the anime side with the usual block: Koyoharu Gotouge's manga ran to 23 volumes in Shueisha's Jump Comics line and has passed 220 million copies in circulation, and the anime is animated by ufotable. Netmarble also notes that a full rerun of the Demon Slayer TV series has been airing in Japan since April 5, 2026, which puts the collab in the middle of that broadcast run.
The release ends with a typographic footnote that only Demon Slayer diehards will appreciate: Netmarble reminds media that the "Ne" in Nezuko's name is properly written with the rarer ネ+爾 form of the character, a detail the official franchise has policed for years.
Looking Ahead
Pre-registration is open now on the collab page, and the event itself runs October 1 through October 29, 2026. Netmarble says more character and reward details will land on the game's official site and X account before then.
For international players, the global version of Seven Knights Re:BIRTH is available on the App Store, Google Play, the Galaxy Store and the Epic Games Store on PC, with an English-language collab page already live. The Japanese release does not spell out whether the event schedule is identical across regions, though the English page carries the same October 1 date.
The Demon Slayer anime itself streams on Crunchyroll and Netflix, and the manga is published in English by Viz Media.
