ufotable's Post-Bath Art Sets the Internet on Fire
The Demon Slayer franchise has no shortage of stunning ufotable (Demon Slayer, Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works) visuals, but this latest batch hit different. As Oricon News reported, fans had one overwhelming reaction to the newly revealed collaboration artwork: "色気やばすぎ" — roughly, "the sex appeal is insane."
The illustrations, drawn exclusively by ufotable for the upcoming Hakone Yunessun partnership, depict five Demon Slayer Corps members in post-bath yukata: Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Kanao Tsuyuri, Giyu Tomioka, and Shinobu Kocho. It's the kind of relaxed, off-duty look that anime fans rarely get from characters who spend most of their screen time covered in blood and breathing fire — and the internet noticed immediately.
Giyu and Shinobu in particular drew attention, with the two Hashira's composed elegance in yukata proving irresistible to the fanbase. When you take characters already beloved for their cool intensity and put them in a hot spring setting, the results are predictable — and the fan response was loud.
Inside the Hakone Hot Spring Collaboration
The artwork is the public-facing centerpiece of a much larger event. Demon Slayer x Yunessun: Hakone Hot Spring Tale — Rest of the Wisteria Flower (鬼滅の刃×ユネッサン 箱根温泉譚 ~藤の花の休息~) takes over Hakone Kowakien Yunessun in Kanagawa Prefecture from July 18 through October 4, 2026.
The wisteria motif in the event's subtitle is a deliberate nod to the series' lore — wisteria flowers repel demons in the Demon Slayer universe, making a wisteria-themed rest stop the safest possible place for these characters to let their guard down.
According to the official Demon Slayer portal, the collaboration includes:
- Themed baths — collaboration onsen experiences within the Yunessun facility
- Collaboration sauna — because the Demon Slayer Corps apparently deserves the full spa treatment
- Original merchandise — exclusive goods featuring the ufotable yukata illustrations
- Collaboration drinks — themed beverages
- Special collaboration tickets — admission packages with bonus items
- Collaboration hotel rooms — themed accommodations at the adjacent Hakone Hotel Kowakien
The event is organized by Fujita Kanko Co., Ltd., which operates the Yunessun resort. Pricing and detailed merchandise lineups haven't been announced yet.

Why This One Hit So Hard
Demon Slayer collaboration events are a dime a dozen at this point — the franchise has partnered with everything from convenience stores to theme parks. What makes this one stand out is the illustration quality. ufotable's original art for merchandise and events has historically been a tier above standard anime collaboration visuals, and these yukata pieces are no exception.
There's also a character selection factor at play. Tanjiro and Zenitsu are expected presences in any Demon Slayer promotional push, but adding both Giyu and Shinobu — two of the franchise's most popular Hashira — alongside Kanao gives the illustration an ensemble appeal that goes beyond the core trio. It's a lineup built for maximum fan engagement, and judging by the reaction, it worked.
Looking Ahead
The collaboration runs nearly three months, from mid-July through early October 2026, giving fans a wide window to visit. Hakone Kowakien Yunessun is located in Kanagawa Prefecture, roughly 90 minutes from central Tokyo by train — making it a realistic day trip or weekend destination for fans attending summer anime events in the capital.
Ticket details and the full merchandise lineup are expected to follow in the coming weeks. The Demon Slayer anime franchise remains one of the industry's biggest commercial forces, with the Infinity Castle theatrical trilogy currently in release. No international equivalent of the Yunessun collaboration has been announced.
For fans outside Japan, the ufotable illustrations are likely to surface as merchandise through the ufotable Web Shop's global storefront, though nothing has been confirmed. The Demon Slayer anime is available internationally on Crunchyroll.
