A Nationwide Tour Reaches Nagoya

TV Aichi, Nagoya PARCO, and BV Communications announced via PR TIMES that the 30th anniversary exhibition ALL OF EVANGELION will open at Nagoya PARCO in the city's Sakae district this September through October. Exact dates, hours, and ticket prices haven't been revealed yet — those details are coming later.

The Nagoya stop is the latest leg of a national tour that launched at Roppongi Hills Tokyo City View in November 2025. Since then, ALL OF EVANGELION has traveled to Fukuoka City Science Museum (January–March 2026) and Aeon Mall Okayama (April–May 2026). Iwate's Morioka Civic Cultural Hall hosts the exhibition from July 17 through August 23 before it moves south to Nagoya.

What's Inside the Exhibition

ALL OF EVANGELION bills itself as a deep dive into the production history of the entire franchise — from the 1995 TV series through the four Rebuild of Evangelion films that concluded with Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time in 2021.

The centerpiece is a curated selection of roughly 270 cel paintings chosen from over 10,000 surviving cuts of the original Neon Genesis Evangelion TV series. These hand-painted cels have rarely been displayed together, and the exhibition positions them as a record of the analog craftsmanship that defined mid-'90s anime production.

Alongside the cels, the exhibition displays original artwork and layouts from the Rebuild films, showcasing the transition from traditional to digital techniques. For the first time, digital production materials from the Rebuild series are also on display — a significant addition for fans interested in how studio Khara evolved its workflow across the tetralogy.

Previous venues also featured voice actor audition recordings, storyboards, and episode preview compilations. Whether the Nagoya venue will include all of these elements hasn't been confirmed.

Neon Genesis Evangelion Returns to Nagoya Airwaves

As a tie-in to the exhibition, TV Aichi is currently rebroadcasting the original Neon Genesis Evangelion TV series every Tuesday at 1:00 AM (late night). The press release encourages viewers to revisit the anime ahead of the exhibition's opening — a smart bit of cross-promotion that gives local audiences a reason to engage with the franchise before walking through the doors.

For anyone who hasn't seen the original since its 1995 debut, the rebroadcast is a reminder of why Evangelion became a generational phenomenon. Hideaki Anno's deconstruction of the mecha genre — following reluctant pilot Shinji Ikari as he's thrust into humanity's war against the mysterious Angels using the giant humanoid Evangelion units — remains one of anime's most influential works three decades later.

Looking Ahead

Nagoya PARCO will host ALL OF EVANGELION from September through October 2026, with ticket sales and scheduling details to be announced at a later date. Keep an eye on the exhibition's official X account @ao_eva30exhibit and the Nagoya venue page at tv-aichi.co.jp/ao-eva for updates.

For international fans, this is currently a Japan-only in-person exhibition with no announced overseas stops. The original Neon Genesis Evangelion TV series is available for streaming on Netflix in most territories, and the Rebuild of Evangelion films are available on Amazon Prime Video. If you're planning a Japan trip for fall 2026, Nagoya's Sakae shopping district — where PARCO is located — is easily accessible from Tokyo via the Tokaido Shinkansen in under two hours.
