A Nationwide Tour Reaches Its Third Stop
ALL OF EVANGELION isn't new — it debuted at Tokyo's Roppongi Hills Tokyo City View in November 2025, where it ran through January 2026 before moving to Okayama's Aeon Mall this spring. The Nagoya stop, announced via PR TIMES by Television Aichi Corporation, marks the third city on what's shaping up to be a six-venue nationwide tour. Iwate follows in July, with Fukuoka and Osaka still to be confirmed.
The exhibition is organized by Television Aichi, Nagoya PARCO, and BV Communications, with planning support from Asahi Shimbun and Movick. Studio Khara — the production house Hideaki Anno founded to complete the Rebuild of Evangelion film series — provides special cooperation alongside the Anime and Tokusatsu Archive Organization (ATAC) and Groundworks.
What's Inside the Exhibition
The press release promises production materials that have never been gathered in one place before. That includes vivid original cel paintings from the 1995 TV series, meticulously drawn original art from the Rebuild of Evangelion theatrical films, and — for the first time ever — digital production materials used in the Rebuild films' later entries.
Based on what was shown at the Tokyo venue, the exhibition spans the entire franchise chronologically. The Tokyo run featured over 270 original cel paintings organized by episode, rare pre-broadcast preview footage, voice actor audition recordings, and an installation of original paintings from Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time suspended from the ceiling. Nagoya's version hasn't been detailed yet, but the core exhibition content has remained consistent across venues.
Exact dates, ticket prices, and any Nagoya-specific additions will be announced later.
TV Aichi Brings Back the Original Series
To prime local fans for the exhibition, Television Aichi is currently airing the original Neon Genesis Evangelion TV series — all 26 episodes — in a late-night Tuesday slot at 1:00 AM. For anyone in the Aichi broadcast area who's never seen the 1995 series on actual television, this is a rare chance to experience it as it was originally intended.
The series follows Shinji Ikari, a teenager drafted to pilot the humanoid weapon Evangelion — humanity's only defense against mysterious beings called Angels that attack the fortress city of Tokyo-3. What starts as a mecha action premise spirals into one of anime's most psychologically intense deconstructions of the genre.
Looking Ahead
The Nagoya run is scheduled for September through October 2026, with ticket sales and scheduling details to follow. Fans outside Japan who can't make the trip still have options: the broader Evangelion 30th anniversary campaign includes international exhibition appearances at Japan Expo in Paris, Hyper Japan in London, and AnimagiC in Germany, though these are separate events from ALL OF EVANGELION.
For streaming, the original Neon Genesis Evangelion TV series and The End of Evangelion are available on Amazon Prime Video in multiple regions, while the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy streams on Amazon Prime Video internationally. The franchise remains one of the most accessible classic anime libraries for English-speaking fans — no hunting required.
