The headline pull, though, is the first-ever public exhibition of digital production materials introduced during the Rebuild era. Khara — Hideaki Anno's studio, which produced the four Rebuild films from 2007 through 2021's Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time — pioneered a hybrid digital-and-traditional pipeline on those movies. The exhibition is framing that material as central to how the franchise actually gets made in the modern era, not as a side curiosity.
The press release describes the whole package as a "festival" meant to be experienced through eyes, ears, and brain — language that hints at staged audio elements alongside the visuals, though specifics aren't yet detailed.
Why Nagoya, Why Now
The organizing trio — TV Aichi, Nagoya PARCO, and BV Communications — anchors the show in central Japan rather than the usual Tokyo or Osaka loop. TV Aichi has paired the exhibition announcement with a parallel broadcast initiative: the original 1995 TV series is currently airing late Tuesday nights at 1:00 AM on the station, marking the franchise's 30th year on the airwaves.
The first episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion aired on October 4, 1995, which means the actual 30th anniversary technically passed in autumn 2025. The Nagoya exhibition lands just under a year later, giving the celebration a longer commemorative window.
Planning is handled by Asahi Shimbun together with merchandising heavyweights Movic and Movic Promote Service. Special cooperation comes from Khara, the Anime Tokusatsu Archive Centre (ATAC), and Groundworks — the three organizations that hold the bulk of Evangelion's physical and archival production assets. That trio's involvement explains how the exhibition can pull cel art and genga that, per the organizers, haven't been collectively exhibited before.
Looking Ahead
"ALL OF EVANGELION" runs September through October 2026 at Nagoya PARCO (Aichi Prefecture, Nagoya, Naka-ku, Sakae 3-29-1). Ticket sales and full event details are still pending, with the organizers promising a follow-up announcement once specifics are locked.
No international touring plans have been mentioned, and previous large-scale Evangelion exhibitions have historically stayed within Japan.
