What's on the Menu

Haruichi Furudate's volleyball juggernaut is hitting the family dining scene. COCOS, one of Japan's major family restaurant chains, launched a full-scale Haikyu!! collaboration today dubbed "Let's Meet at COCOS Today Too!" — and it's loaded with themed food, merch, and in-store experiences across all 504 participating locations.

The collab rolls out in two phases, each spotlighting a rival school. Phase 1 (May 19–June 8) goes all-in on Karasuno with two standout menu items: a Japanese curry wrapped hamburg steak called "Eat and Get Strong!" (¥1,639 tax included) and the Hinata & Kageyama "Summit View" Mont Blanc Parfait (¥1,309). Phase 2 (June 9–June 29) pivots to Aoba Johsai, swapping in a cheese fondue wrapped hamburg steak at the same price and an Oikawa & Iwaizumi "Perfect Sync" Parfait. Each item is limited to one per person per day.

Ordering any collaboration dish or select grand menu items earns you a randomized original clear file — 8 designs per phase, 16 total across the full campaign.

Voice Content and In-Store Experiences

COCOS is going beyond food tie-ins. During Phase 1, ordering through the restaurant's touchpad tablets triggers Hinata Shoyo's voice confirming your order. Phase 2 switches to Oikawa Toru. There's also a separate QR-code voice feature — scan it at your table to hear the characters introduce the campaign.

On top of that, ordering eligible items triggers a random display of iconic Haikyu!! anime scenes on the touchpad after checkout. Phase 1 features Karasuno scenes, Phase 2 features Aoba Johsai — five scenes each.

Breakfast diners aren't left out either. Ordering a Premium Morning set or breakfast buffet item nets you exclusive flake stickers — Karasuno designs from May 23 to June 8, Aoba Johsai from June 13 to June 29, while supplies last.

Merch and Special Store Decorations

Select locations will feature life-size standing panels of the characters, plus COCOS-exclusive acrylic stand panels and clear cards available for purchase.

The real draws for dedicated fans are the specially decorated stores. The Heiwadai location gets a full special makeover, while two Sendai stores receive unique treatment — Sendai Nagamachi gets a Karasuno High version, and Sendai Yagiyama gets an Aoba Johsai version. The Sendai placement is a nice touch, given that the fictional Karasuno and Aoba Johsai are both set in Miyagi Prefecture.

COCOS is also running a follow-and-repost sweepstakes on its official X account, with additional details available on the campaign's special site.

Looking Ahead

The Haikyu!! franchise remains one of the most active properties in anime right now. The second FINAL project film, Haikyu!! VS The Little Giant, is confirmed for a 2027 theatrical release alongside a special anime episode titled Haikyu!! Where Monsters Go. Furudate's original manga, published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, has surpassed 75 million copies in circulation.

For international fans hoping to visit during the collaboration window, the campaign runs at all 504 COCOS locations nationwide (excluding airport stores) through June 29. No international streaming or digital component has been announced — this one's strictly a dine-in experience in Japan.
